Association pour la Formation Professionnelle au Sénégal

THE ASSOCIATION

AFPS is a non-profit association governed by its statutes, and secondly by Articles 60 et seq. of the Swiss Civil Code, and its headquarters are located in Geneva, Switzerland. It is neutral politically and non-denominational.

The main objective of AFPS is to finance the vocational training of disadvantaged young people.

AFPS was created in September 2014 by Monique Stefani, president of the association and her two daughters, Ancilla and Valentina.

Monique Stefani's professional career has taken her to various African countries during 25 years, including five years in Saint-Louis, Senegal. She held positions of responsibility in both development and humanitarian aid projects. She obtained a master degree in «Humanitarian Action» from the University of Geneva and a postgraduate degree in «Gestion de projets internationaux» from the Bern University of Applied Sciences.

As for Ancilla and Valentina, they lived for several years with their parents in Africa, in particular in Saint-Louis, Senegal where they went to school.
